Beatriz Mayans Zamora

Beatriz holds a degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the Higher School of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in Madrid, specializing in painting, and is a certified Radioactive Installation Operator from the Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT). After extensive experience as a painting restorer, since 2014 she has been part of the Research and Training Department of the Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute (IPCE), applying radiographic techniques to cultural heritage as an operator in the Diagnostic Imaging Studies (EDI) department. In addition to radiographic processes, she is involved in other multispectral techniques applied to the research and interpretation of cultural heritage. She collaborates with the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation and is a member of the IPCE Editorial Board.
