Francesc Granell Sales
Francesc holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Valencia, where he received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. He currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History at the same university. He has been a predoctoral researcher at the UV and an external postdoctoral researcher at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales in Paris and at the Complutense University of Madrid. His current line of research focuses on portraiture between the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. He has studied the uses and functions of royal images and the pictorial representations of Jews and Muslims.
