Book presentation on stamps and trademarks

The Museum of the Fairs hosted on Tuesday the presentation of two books on seals and trademarks that form part of the description and documentary study project that the Foundation is dedicating to the trademarks in the Simón Ruiz Archive. The authors of these works are Fernando Ramos González, technician at the Medina museum, and Iban Redondo Parés, who presented, respectively, “Seals and Marks in the Commercial Correspondence of the Simón Ruiz Archive” and “Merchants’ Marks in Castile and Europe (15th and 16th Centuries)”.
At the beginning of the event, the director of the Museum of the Fairs, Antonio Sánchez del Barrio, praised the research carried out by these two authors for the creation of their works, which will be available in digital format through the publisher Marcial Pons, and he also acknowledged the professors from the Complutense University of Madrid who were present at the presentation, Matilde Miquel and Olga Pérez, as well as the doctoral candidate from the same institution, Cristina Castro. The Councillor for Culture, Cristina Aranda, was also in attendance.
