VI Technology and Knowledge Transfer Awards

The technical study of the Altarpiece of Saint James in the Holy Primate Cathedral Church of Toledo, painted by Michael Sittow (1489), has been awarded the second prize ex aequo in the 6th Technology and Knowledge Transfer Awards, in the area of Social Sciences and Humanities, granted by the Complutense University of Madrid.

The main phase of the study was carried out in 2014 by the project team led by Matilde Miquel Juan and Olga Pérez Monzón from UCM, in collaboration with staff from the #IPCE and other major institutions, both Spanish (Patrimonio Nacional, the Conservation and Restoration Centre of the Regional Government of Castile and León, Museo Nacional del Prado) and international (Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK/IRPA), Bayerisches Nationalmuseum in Munich (Germany), Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium).
