Awards and recognitions

  • VI Technology and Knowledge Transfer Awards: The technical study of the Altarpiece of Santiago in the Primate Cathedral of Toledo, painted by Michael Sittow (1489), has been awarded the second prize ex aequo in the VI Technology and Knowledge Transfer Awards, in the area of ​​Social Sciences and Humanities, awarded by the Complutense University of Madrid. The main phase of the study was carried out in 2014 by the project team, led by Matilde Miquel Juan and Olga Pérez Monzón of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), in collaboration with staff from the Spanish Institute of Cultural Heritage (IPCE) and other important institutions, both Spanish (National Heritage, Conservation and Restoration Center of the Regional Government of Castile and León, Prado Museum) and international (Royal Institute of Cultural Heritage (KIK/IRPA), National Museum of Bavaria in Munich (Germany), and Free University of Brussels (Belgium).
